This is a test used to assess if you have sufficient blood flow to the legs. Your doctor may request this if you complain of cold, dusky legs or if you have pain in the calf muscles with walking. Blood pressure cuffs are applied to both arms and both legs. The cuffs are inflated and measurement of the pressure is recorded. Doppler (sonogram) recordings are also taken. There is no preparation for this test.Warfarin (Coumadin) Treatment
The Coumadin Clinic at Chestnut Hill Cardiology helps patients to coordinate and optimize the use of the anticoagulation medicine Warfarin (also known by the brand name Coumadin). Used properly, warfarin can prevent strokes, blood clots in the lungs and legs, and other disorders. However, it has the potential to be a very dangerous drug, and levels must be monitored carefully. Our program is under the supervision of our doctors and is managed by Harriet Yoder. Our Coumadin Clinic manages anticoagulation dosing, provides systematic monitoring, provides ongoing education, and communicates with other providers involved in your care.
